What is Solution Architecture ?
Solution Architecture is the process of developing solutions based on predefined processes, guidelines and best practices. The aim of solution architecture is that the developed solution fits within the business architecture in terms of information architecture, system portfolios, integration requirements and much more. An organization strives to create a range of business solutions, applications and processes that can be integrated with each other to meet specific needs and requirements and often lead to software architecture and technical architecture.
It can then be viewed as a combination of roles, processes and documentation intended to address specific business needs, requirements or issues through the design and development of applications and information systems.
The Solution Architecture is described in a document that specifies a certain level of vision for all current and future solutions, applications and processes that the organization has. The design and development of solutions and applications then follow the guidelines specified in the document to ensure that they adhere to established standards that facilitate integration and communication, as well as make troubleshooting and prevent inconsistencies between solutions easier.
Why Solution Architectuur?
During the design, possible options are worked out in the Solution Architecture, including RFIs, RFPs or the development of prototypes. It selects the optimal option and develops the roadmap for the selected solution.
